The Process

  1. Initial Consultation (Phone/Email)

This consultation allows us to understand your needs and customize the alteration plan, ensuring we schedule your appointments at times that work best for you.

  2. First Fitting (Ideally 8 Weeks Before the Wedding)

During this fitting, we’ll assess the fit of your gown. Please bring your desired shoes and underwear, as these can affect the final fit.

  3. Second Fitting

By this stage, your gown will only require minor adjustments. We’ll focus on fine-tuning the details for a perfect fit. You may be able to collect your gown after the Second Fitting.

  4. Final Appointment

At your final fitting, you’ll try on your gown with all accessories to ensure everything looks just as you envisioned. Your dress will be ready for pick-up no later than a week before your wedding.

  • At Kulita Bespoke, we specialize in bridal alterations with attention to detail, ensuring that your wedding dress fits you like a glove. Our experienced seamstresses take the time to understand your vision and work with you to make sure every detail of your gown is perfect, from the fit to the finishing touches.

  • We recommend scheduling your bridal alterations at least 2 months before your wedding. This allows us to provide you with the time and care necessary for proper fitting and adjustments, ensuring everything is perfect for your big day.

  • Typically, brides will need 2-3 fittings. The first fitting is to assess the overall fit and make initial adjustments. A second fitting is often required to ensure that any changes made are to your satisfaction, and a final fitting ensures your dress is ready for your wedding day.

  • The cost of bridal alterations depends on the complexity of the changes required. On average, alterations range from £250 to £350, but the price can vary based on the amount of work needed (e.g., simple hemming vs. complex bodice adjustments). We provide a transparent, upfront estimate after our initial consultation.

  • No problem! We understand that body changes can occur before the wedding. Our expert seamstresses will make the necessary adjustments to ensure your dress fits perfectly, even in the final weeks leading up to your wedding. Just let us know if you're planning any weight changes so we can plan accordingly.

  • Yes, we specialize in alterations for both pre-owned and vintage dresses. Our experienced seamstresses are skilled in working with delicate fabrics and vintage designs, ensuring that your dress is carefully altered while maintaining its unique charm.

  • Absolutely! If you're looking to personalize your wedding dress, we can help with a variety of customizations such as adding lace appliqué, beading, straps, or even altering the neckline. We’ll work with you to make your dress uniquely yours.

  • For your fittings, we recommend bringing:

    • The undergarments you plan to wear on your wedding day (such as a strapless bra or shapewear).

    • Your wedding shoes (if you have them already) to ensure the hem is the right length.

    • A positive attitude! We want you to feel at ease and excited as we transform your dress into a perfect fit.
